Ecological and Majorcan product. It is a vegetable rich in vitamins that also provides fiber, folic acid and mineral salts with a high content of water (48%). Its outer leaves, with a greener appearance, contain more vitamins and carotenes. If they are collected when they are small (less than 20 cm) they can be consumed in their entirety, leaves and stalks included. But if they are allowed to grow, it is better to discard the stalk since it tends to become bitter. They are related to spinach and are cooked in the same way. Very tender plants can be eaten raw.
