Striped watermelons (unit)

Ecological and Majorcan product. This fruit is native to Africa and is one of the most popular and present in Asia for being one of the largest fruits, normally exceeding 3kg. It was introduced in Spain by the Arabs and its cultivation is common in Andalusia and areas of the eastern peninsula. It has a high nutritional value for its abundant amount of vitamin C, amino acids and carotenoids. Its composition is mainly water, which makes it very refreshing and with diuretic functions. Its seeds are very rich in vitamin E and although it is common to discard them, toast is consumed in Asia.
